Presenter: Gisela Hoecherl-Alden is Assistant Dean and Director of Language Instruction for all Language Departments at Boston University, where she also teaches German language , literature and film. She received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin and has taught German at public and private universities in Alaska, Pennsylvania, Maine, and Massachusetts. She strives to integrate internships and study abroad with on-campus curricula, has received several awards for teaching and service, and regularly conducts K-16 language faculty development workshops.
