Description

German for the Professional Setting in the Basic Language Classroom Learning German for the professional setting helps students begin to prepare for college applications, job searches, and their future careers. Teachers train students not only in the German language, but also in social and cultural practices needed for professional communication. This webinar explores how to make the topic exciting and relevant to students on all levels with particular suggestions for course units and activities.

Amanda Sheffer is a Clinical Assistant Professor of German at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC where she teaches German on all levels, including Business German. She holds a Ph.D. in German from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As an undergraduate, she double-majored in Finance and German for Commercial Studies. She currently serves on the board of the AATG Maryland-DC Metro chapter.
